Too often people are quick to complain about care and treatment. I commend the staff for the care and treatment I experienced on a recent emergency room visit and overnight stay at Holy Cross Hospital. I was camping in Red River and had some medical issues. Upon arrival at the emergency room, I was quickly assessed and evaluated. The ER nurses, doctor and PA were very respectful and caring. I was admitted for testing the next day. The nurses who cared for me were very kind and compassionate. The lady in the room with me had some issues during the night, and the nurse spent time talking with her to reassure her and even massaged her legs and back to help her relax. I have never seen such compassion in a healthcare facility. The technicians who performed the tests for me, the cardiologist and the hospitalist were very attentive and friendly. The hospitalist, Dr. Yong, contacted my doctor back home and even called to check on me a few days after I was discharged. I am very grateful to the staff. They are exceptional and go above and beyond.
I am a Taos resident whose life was saved in 2012 (I had sepsis and required immediate surgery in the ER at Holy Cross Hospital in Taos, New Mexico). Forever, I will be grateful for the care I received from the medical staff at this facility. For eleven days I was cared for like a family member. The nursing staff is exemplary. They sat with me at night and held my hand when I had a panic attack; they sang to me when they found out I love musicals; bottom line, they cared and showed me through their actions. Kathy A. Pruitt
I've came here for x-rays, ultrasounds, 2 c-sections, lab work, ER visits, family who had extended stays. Overall our small local hospital is OK. Could use some improvement but they have already improved tremendously in the past few years. Thankful to have them in our little town.
I broke my leg while on vacation at the Cimarron Campground. This hospital is small which worried me a little at first, but I can tell you the care I received was FANTASTIC! From intake to post op care the nurses, surgeons & all staff were so good to me. It was a wonderful experience (well as wonderful as breaking your Tibia on vacation can be lol!) I would like to thank everyone who helped me from the bottom of my heart!
This place feels magical, and that is totally because of the art and healing mentality. I've never been so welcomed into a kind way of life as a woman before such as this, I've been fed the most wholesome nutritious foods, plentiful broccoli carrots with whole grain rice, colorful salads with dark leafy greens, never asked for gluten free just vegetarian- but they are practically intuitive to me, whilst very professional. I've gotten many options, ideas and resources since being here. Even a foot treatment makes me so happy and comfortable in myself. Thank god for this- every good comes from above in gods love whose does not change like shifting shadows. If you are a beautiful soul and need the path to a better life- this is a magnificent start towards mind body and spirit.
