Great place for rentals! Easily put in my order online and got a phone call a couple days before picking up my items to confirm. Pick up simple, took less than 5 minutes and drop off was easy. Great staff!
This is a great place to rent really good equipment. If you don't like what you got or the conditions change and you need a different kind of ski, you can go in and exchange what you've got for something different. Service is friendly and knowledgeable, prices are reasonable and I've been renting the here every year for at least 20 years. I like to demo the latest skis -- because the manufacturers come out with new, innovative styles so frequently. This is the place to do it. They are the best!
Great shop, super helpful people. We missed the cutoff to drop our gear at the shop on the mountain where we rented. The next morning we were near the shop down in Taos, they called up there, and were able to accept it. Without even charging us extra!! What a lifesaver. It saved us a trip back up the mountain and the extra time and trouble in the middle of our vacation.
We did the Orilla Verde Float this morning and it was great! We chose the float instead of Racecourse because we have a 7yr old. It was so peaceful. We had a couple rapids at the end and they were so much fun!! We all paddled when our guide said but honestly, there wasn't a ton of paddling. Our guide was great and provided a history of the sights. The rafts and PFDs were very clean. We'd definitely get back on the river with Cottams but next time we'll do Racecourse!
From when we placed our order online, until we turned in our equipment, our experience with Cottam's Ski Shop was great. Online ordering was straightforward and easy. A store rep called to confirm our order and equipment. When we arrived in the store, the staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, and took the time to get us the equipment, fit, and settings we needed. The staff even provided insight on the various trails at Ski Valley (where we were skiing). Returning the equipment was quick and easy. As an added bonus (a big bonus), Cottam's has a store at Ski Valley in case you need to have adjustments made or change out equipment. We will certainly use Cottam's Ski Shop again!
