Cottam's was great from the phone call to book the trip until the very end. Mario did a fabulous job getting my family of 4 on a trip for the next day. Bret was our guide. He was fun, knowledgeable and knew the Run like the back of his hand. I would recommend to anyone for a fun filled couple of hours with Cottam's.
WE had such a great time. The guide was wonderful but although we are not the types to be nervous we felt that he was extremely mindful and concerned that we all felt safe on the trip. We actually wished that it was more daunting but since the trip was in August the level of water was not high. Very well organized, obvious that this is not a "fly-by-night" company and professional in all details, Great job, guys and fun to boot. Please note that I had called competitors in my vacation search and was impressed with your company from the time that the phone was answered. When you called me a few days prior to the excursion to say that there may be extra traffic and plan on this, you sold me again!
We had the BEST time white water rafting with Cottam's. I highly recommend this company. Our guide was Dan and he was an absolute joy. He shared stories about each different transition in the water along with their names and history of the Rio Grande as well as New Mexico. He did a great job teaching us how to properly row, prepare us for upcoming river transitions and of coarse, managed to get us completely drenched. It was a blast!
Cottam's was fantastic. It was our first time rafting and they put us at ease. They provided water proof outer clothes, a safe box for car keys, and a quick safety course before getting in the water. Our guide was clearly very experienced and we were able to relax and enjoy the ride!
What a fantastic day on the river! This was my friends very first rafting trip and it was picture perfect. Weather was great, Tony our guide for the day was spot on making her comfortable getting to know the raft and practice some paddling skills before getting to the rapids. Lunch was great, simple but good and filling. Service and safety were top notch and would highly recommend anyone on the Rio Grande to use Cottam's. And don't forget to ask for Tony!
