Husband was there on business, and we tagged along, but he has already said this is where he will be eating on his next trip.
They didn't offer free chips and salsa which at first I thought was weird, but then our food came.
I'm not fond of NM's wine & beer only restaurants. Somehow Mexican foods needs a real margarita. Food good.
We absolutely love La Cocina, huge plates, delicious food, new Mexican and American options. Very comfortable setting, kid friendly, very affordable kids menu and good portions. Good quality plastic cups with lids for the kids to keep after and Crayola crayon pack to color on the kids menu.
Had issues with the service down the road at Sagebrush Inn.
I ordered the chicken fajitas, my husband got the combo plate, and our daughter got a corndog. The portions were VERY generous. I finished maybe a third of mine. My husband finished his, but just barely. We also got a hife, thick yet very light sopa with real honey. The entire meal was around $40 WITH tip.
The location is family owned and the woman helping us had her daughter helping. She was so sweet! Love seeing family working together.
Good food and value. Small and quaint.
Drove here only an hour before close. The place was clean and beautiful. We were seated immediately and drink orders were taken.
