Horrible place! Don't believe all pictures on website, room was smell, bed sheet smell like never been wash, no coffee maker in the room, floor dirty, bath tub dirty... so disappointed myself spent money book this hotel! Please don't waste your money here...honestly motel 6 better then this one !

Phones don't work they've been out for months. Management has no intention of fixing them.
Bobby at the front desk was very friendly and helpful about a booking snafu. The pool was closed due to "special cleaning" which apparently consists of pumping the green pool water into a trash can. The grounds were unkept, with high grass and trash around. The room was ok, not too smelly, a few stains on the walls and broken sink skirt. Bed was comfortable, we didn't see any bed bugs. Toilet rattles violently when flushed, but didn't come loose. Some people obviously live here, as there are cars in various states of disrepair in the parking lot and behind one of the rooms. Kitchen chairs on the walkways. A very friendly stray cat. But very close to the plaza, and cheapest price in Taos. I'm not saying the city should close it down, but it definitely needs some improvements.
Desk people were friendly and nice, room was clean but very austere. Swimming pool looked like the one from the movie Poltergeist. Breakfast was okay. Best thing about it is the location- it's a short walk to the Kit Carson House and Museum.
