I was surprised by how nice this place is. Pool and hot tub were clean. Room was comfy. Breakfast was better than expected.
First time in Taos, last minute reservation... after midnight check in. Clean room. Super nice staff. Can't really ask for more.
I would have given three and a half stars if that were possible. It worked OK for our purposes, and the free breakfast was really nice. It was clean but dated and slightly shabby. The real show stopper for me was that so much light came in from the parking lot, I had trouble sleeping. There is a flood light above every set of entry doors, and the drapes went straight across without a return to the wall. Light just poured in at either end. The desk clerk said that I was the first person to mention it. Huh.
Breakfast is terrible. Customer service is terrible. When we went to the front desk to let them know that the internet isn't working the guy at the front said ok and just sat there on the computer. Water cuts off randomly sometimes did it twice while in the shower. I was staying in this hotel for a month for work and I work 6 days a week, on my one day off I got up to do laundry in the morning came back after 2 hours room wasn't cleaned yet which was fine but when it came down to cleaning my room a lady called me on the room phone and said " if you guys want your room cleaned you need to leave so the maid can do her job" in such a rude way. Filed a complaint with my companies travel department and will no longer be using this hotels services.
Thankfully had availability at the last minute. Super friendly front desk got us right in. Pet friendly , pool , hot tub. The lobby is the best I've ever seen. Rooms a little outdated , beds could be more comfortable but clean and super close to downtown Taos. Thanks for the great stay!
