This is Italian food cooked by people who don't know how to make Italian food. I live in Taos, but I just got back from New England where great Italian food is everywhere. I ordered the Penne pasta primavera....the tomato sauce was unbalanced and "raw" tasting. The rest of the dish was unimpressive. The salad was unimpressive. They couldn't bother to mix up a decent Italian balsamic dressing. Guess what? They gave me a bottle of vinegar and a bottle of olive oil. That's sheer laziness. Whiz it in a blender for 10 seconds. The desert was also unimpressive. Second time I ate here. Probably will be the last.

Yuck! And horrible prices. Nice wait staff but food takes forever and is CHEAP. We got our garlic bread appetizer (Even tho we ordered cheesy bread, they gave us garlic bread) at the same time as our pizza and pasta entrees. Which took an hour. I would NOT recommend this place. Food is cheap, disgusting, expensive and takes way to long.
The food is excellent. We had the half portions of mushroom ravioli and Italian sausage with peppers and onions. Beforehand , we enjoyed house salads, freshly baked bread and an excellent Montepulciano wine. This place has wonderful, red Italian wine choices! Our server was attentive and friendly.
UPDATE: They have built a beautiful new location. The food and service are still excellent. One of my favorite restaurants in Taos. Very good deli sandwiches, pizza and pasta. The atmosphere is authentic and cozy. Easy parking
