We can only assume that all the people that gave love apple a 5 star are to old to see the food or are heirs to Howard Hugh' fortune.
The food is ok but way overpriced.
Ambience and the food to match it, this restaurant is a chic and glamorous take on NEw Mexico food. Locally inspired, excellent service and tons of authentic romance.
9 dollars for a small bowl of soup and 16 dollars for 2 tacos??? Are you kidding me???

Great food and service. One of the best places in Taos.
Wife and I visited on our anniversary trip. Scheduled a 5:00pm reservation. We were seated right away and offered water. Walked out after 15 minutes of no server coming to our table. Had walked in after 10 minutes and someone on the service staff was on the phone and gave me the "just a minute" finger. Read great reviews and the kitchen smelled amazing. Guess we'll never know. Went across the street to Taos Pizza Outback and were seated and served immediately.
Casual fine dining atmosphere. Reservations required. Good vegetarian options. Enjoyed appetizers, especially cornbread and roasted turnips. Entrees flavorful and satisfying. Serving staff friendly, knowledgeable about menu, and happy to accommodate different dietary preferences.
